Annual Course 2013 / 2014

One of our main objectives is to create a learning experience that stimulates and reinforces multidisciplinary creative skills and strengthens both the individuals and the group.

The Annual Course at Atelier runs between October and June and provides a unique opportunity to learn through experience, practical development and live briefs. The course focusses on Graphic Design, Editorial, Interactive, Film, Video and Motion Graphics. At the end of the course the students present the year’s work at the OFFF festival in front of 3,000 attendees.

The course is roughly divided into three phases, the first focusses on bringing the students together and forming a identity as an agency or collective. The second is where the students begin to develop work for the OFFF Festival and other clients provided by the Atelier. The third and final phase of the course focusses on developing communication skills and preparing for the final presentation at the OFFF Festival.

One of our main objectives is to create a learning experience that stimulates and reinforces multidisciplinary creative skills and strengthens both the individuals and the group.

As a post-graduate course, students are selected on the basis of a specialism in one or more of the core course areas and then encouraged to learn from each other as well as from the Atelier’s tutors and at workshops and masterclasses provided by some of the worlds foremost artists and designers. Additional help, advice and support is often given by previous years students who can be found working in the studio outside of core course hours.

The specific curriculum varies each year as the course develops and makes use of emerging opportunities, but the core components are:
